Derek Fudesco grew up in Fresno California, but left home at an early age to pursue music in the Bay Area’s emerging underground, Derek lived in Oakland for only a few years but still managed to collaborate in a number of bands before finally settling in Seattle Washington in 1995. Since he has become a staple of the independent music scene throughout the northwest and has been responsible for starting some of its more influential bands, most notably from 1999-2002 in The Murder City Devils (sub pop) and currently he plays bass guitar in Pretty Girls Make Graves (Matador Records). Derek and Pretty Girls Make Graves are set to release their third full-length album on Matador Records in early 2006. In between Days is Derek’s debut feature film score.
